ODGprod is pleased today to welcome a new band on the netlabel. After discovering the Dub « made in Berry » thanks to artists such as Dawa Hifi or U.Stone , it is time to makeway for MDC who gives us his first Ep called « Conception ». Massive Dub Corporation consists of four multi-instrumentalists activists with one common idea, exploring dub and its borders (if there are any). This young band born in Bourges in early 2010, the project starts both in studio and on stage, navigating between CAM and instrumental music. It is this balance that we feel immediately along the five tracks, synthetic rhythm and acoustic phrasing are mixed perfectly. Each piece is discussed in a different way, and we will pass through various environments, from the « french dub » to things more roots, or stepper oriented and dedicated to the soundsystems. MDC also offers two royal featurings for his first Ep, we can hear the famous MC Brother Culture (on Ninja Assassin) and the Parisian duo of singers Fu-Steps (on Soldiers of Babylon). « Conception » celebrates a rich & multi-faceted dub, which foreshadows MDC as a group to follow.
Monday, January 9, finally, the first release of 2012 ! For this new year Odgprod had to offer you a brand new artist for free download on the site. Full Dub delivers you « Potentiodub » , a five tracks Ep full of surprises … Native from Dijon, the man known as Full Dub creats music both instrumental and electronic drawing his inspiration from the French dub of the late 90’s. Musician through numerous formations, he is also a founder of the Gravity Association that works on the underground scene.
Listening to five tracks of Potentiodub makes you discover an atmosphere richly eclectic, a well controlled Electro Dub style maried to vintage effects mixed with classical and oriental samples. The whole Ep is enriched by a touch of dubstep, coloring the tracks with electric basslines and some aphrodisiac wobbles.
Dawa Hifi « DUB TINGS » which promises to be the freshness of summer.. With no less than ten pieces made in 2011, this new album, comes a turning point in how to approach the composition, the mix and the achievement of tracks composed by Val Dawa, dub creator of the Dawa Hifi duo.
Indeed, after the first EP called Antik Tings released 2 years ago and fully composed, arranged and mixed on a computer, the production method of this talented composer from Bourges (France) has fully evolved from one digital configuration to a configuration fully vintage and analog . Val Dawa has produced all those ten tracks on vintage keyboard, drum machine and real played instruments, which marks a real change in the result for this new album (Grain of his warm, defects by the charm of all this vintage material). All tracks are mixed and dubbed as the golden age of dub with help of real desk mix and hardware effects . The result is an album ends up in the digital dub style marked by the same noise footprint that will delight all lovers of dub style. The program : heavy bass, sharp and incisors rhythmics which should give you the urge to get out your dancing shoes…
Note the presence of two guests on this project revolving around Dawa Hifi, Nattytom on guitar (ODG) [04/05/10 songs] and Mael Cageron on saxophone and trombone [songs 01/02/04/10] already on the 24 th max ODGprod « Lola » on this release delivers its full potential.
Finally, after 10 years of music production, releases of many vinyl records, creating their own sound system (12kw) helped by Benabass selector and builder of the soundsystem, many concerts in France, Belgium, Spain, Mexico.. Containing notless than 16 tracks, this album offers the work of several groups who have gravitated during the last three years around the studio of the « Conspirators » in San Martino di Campagna at 100 km northeast of Venice. At the time when the analog sound disappears gradually and Dub composed and mixed on software is spreading more and more, meanwhile The Missing Dub Versions is back to roots technics and offers us a Dub full of vintage effects mixed on an analog desk. Alambic Conspiracy proudly represents Dub and his History and reminds us that Jamaica and England are not the only country for Dub music.
It is through this beautiful spring day that Original Dub Gathering is pleased to present Mahom. Like the previous album by Jangle Machine, this new duo began its first steps on Odgprod and he propose for free its first complete album.
Mahom comes from France in the Drôme (as Drydeck), navigates between electronic Dub and instrumental Dub. Mainly oriented Stepper, their sound is ranging from Uk Dub sound systems, to French Dub with additions of ethnic samples and Far East voices. On stage or in studio Mahom is powered by Mathias on one side to the semi-electronic drums and melodica and another by Joris controlling sampler and machines. Listening to 7 tracks from the album you will discover an atmosphere sometimes close to Panda Dub‘s compositions : style with a message both optimistic and mixed phases of melancholy. Underground Dubwise offers a real trip in which all borders are blurring.

Jangle Machine is a family explosive duo. In live or studio they bring a powerful electronic Dub clear-oriented Dubstep. Their debut album on Original Dub Gathering shows us a pure musical style of their own.They astutely drawing their inspirations in the History of Dub : Skanks, effects, samples and gorgeous basslines mixed up for all to enjoy.
Drydeck is born on 2005, this electro and instrumental band is one of the most famous on Odgprod. After various physical and digital albums offering a musical style definitely dark and massive, the crew is back with a 6 tracks Ep on Original Dub Gathering. Always as powerful and dark, however DDK unfolds in an entirely different face.
We knew the EPs as Dub Chamber (2006) or DDK meets GDO (2009) drawing their inspiration directly from the French dub, we could be faced with the meeting between Dub and Dubstep on Opus as DDK vs. GDO (2010) or Heavy dub and massive s # t (2010), but we could not predict that new turn. Grime, wobbles and basslines are the watchwords; Haters gonna hate is shouted as a warning, youhave been warned.
