U.Stone – Nice 2 meet you

How time flies! Indeed Original Dub Gathering already offers you its second release for this year. In fall 2009, U. Stone had presented his terrible “Digital Shadows” on which we could discover a style of dub and electronic music borrowing elements from the Drum n ‘Bass culture. This maxi had responded to a physical album, “Digital Youth” released in self-production in spring 2010 still available for sale at concerts. The indefatigable  DJ and veteran composer holds many surprises…

Nice 2 meet you is part of the revival of U.Stone. A really contemporary sound, cleverly flirting with a wide range of inspirations, this stylistic weeding does not end with the close relationship between Dub and Dubstep. I spoke a moment of “renewal” because U.Stone became a live project consists of three musicians along with an innovative video show (signed Mysterious Kid). The two instrumentalists, Mael (sax / bass) and Tonio (keyboard / guitar) stain the original tracks with some Reggae grooves and some jazzy air solo. We can also find on this release songs written in association with Dawa Hifi, Blender, Eiko and Paul “Nite Train” & Ockard Riddim. This maxi is the result of this meeting between the meticulous computer programming and calculated instrumental improvisation, you can not prevent you from running to see the Trio in live after listening to it.
