About ODGPROD & Ondubground

Founded in 2004, Ondubground is a French dub project exploring a modern approach to dub, at the crossroads of sound system culture, electronic production and contemporary bass aesthetics.

In 2005, driven by a will of total independence, the band founded ODGPROD: an independent label dedicated to dub, electro-dub and European bass music.

For more than 20 years, the band and the label have grown as two distinct, complementary entities: an artistic project on one side, a production and publishing structure on the other.

A duo from Tours, France, Ondubground draws its inspiration from the meeting of UK styles and the French touch. After touring France and sharing stages with many artists, they extended their live shows across Europe, Mexico, Costa Rica and Canada.

The band belongs to a new crossover dub scene: celebrating the dub heritage while exploring new sonic developments.

Born from the will to keep full control over creation and distribution, ODGPROD (Original Dub Gathering Productions) started with dub-focused compilations and progressively gathered EPs and albums from French and European artists.

After 21 years, the catalogue counts more than 450 releases, freely and legally available, and the label keeps supporting its artists from production to distribution with a consistent editorial line.
