Rights & Downloads
Free does not mean royalty-free: here is what you can freely do with ODGPROD music, and what requires our prior consent.
This translation is provided for information only — the French version prevails.
The essentials
All ODGPROD music is available for free download. It is not "royalty-free": all works are protected, all rights reserved. Rights belong to the artists, and to the label when publishing. The free availability is our way of distributing music — it is not a transfer of rights.
What you can do without asking us
Download albums, listen to them, copy them onto your devices, burn a CD for yourself, share the link to the release with others.
In short: any personal and non-commercial use.
What requires the label's prior consent
- Using a track in a video (YouTube, social media, film, documentary, advertising, video games, etc.) — this is synchronization.
- Remixing, sampling, or editing a track and publishing the result.
- Re-uploading our tracks to platforms (streaming, YouTube, etc.).
- Any commercial or public use: shops, fashion shows, live performances, etc.
- Pressing or distributing our music on physical media.
Write to us via the Contact page describing your intended use: we respond, and many projects find a simple agreement.
DJs, sound systems, concerts
Playing our tracks in a DJ set or on a sound system is a pleasure, not a problem. One gesture counts: include the tracks played in the SACEM program provided to the organizer (in principle, it is their responsibility to report it). This is what remunerates the artists you play.
Who holds the rights
Each work remains the property of its authors, composers, and performers. ODGPROD acts as the label, and as the publisher for certain works. No mention is necessary for these rights to exist: they apply automatically as a matter of law.
