Ce soir Original Dub Gathering se met sur son trente-et-un afin de vous apporter "en mains propres" le nouvel opus des compilations STEP4i. Ce projet, né il y a tout juste 3 ans, a vu le jour avec seulement quatre morceaux proposés en libre téléchargement sur une des première version du site ODG. On y retrouvait Dawa Hifi, Inadubstate, Ackboo et Ondubground ; s'unissant dans la création de rythmiques stepper pour fonder STEP 4 i premier du nom. Le principe est simple, Dubzone.org l'avait agencé, proposer des compilations téléchargeables librement et surtout légalement. Après dix opus  Dubzone.org s'est éteint ODG se devait de garder cette flamme alternative allumée : STEP4i était né.

Ce n'est qu'à la 3e version que le projet prend de l'ampleur grâce à la participation cette fois-ci de dix activistes de la scène Dub, rassemblant de plus en plus d'artistes confirmés tout en explorant diverses facettes du style. Avec ce nouvel opus  STEP4i confirme sa vocation. Déterminé à promouvoir le Dub sous toutes ses coutures ; vous (re) découvrirez les différentes interprétations du courant, s'instrumentalisant d'un coté, s'électronisant d'un autre, parfois baigné d'un optimisme jovial, ou même parfois pleinement mélancolique, le Dub est le style musical ou l'explicite s'efface et où toute revendication est ornée de passion.

Again the net label Original Dub Gathering this time for a compilation on the famous collection it proposes: Step4i. The sixth volume, available in free download as others, proposes 26 tracks and same much of participants.
Hard to tell about all. That we can say, we can find some artists from ODG or other net labels such as artists signed on most "traditional" labels. By this fact, we can find on this volume The Blackstarliners, Jah Billah, Dub Engine sharing the opus with Weeding Dub, Kanka or Brain Damage.
A match copyleft versus copyright? Not. Just a meeting of dubbers to promote their music and the richness of this one: to show the different styles of this kind which is dub music. Actually, the compilation presents as well roots, stepper, electro-novo-dub, dubstep and other experimentations inna dubwise style. [...]
